Kore 'nin Muju kentinde, TI Spor salonunda düzenlen "2. Yıldızlar Dünya Taekwondo Şampiyonası" (2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships)'nın son gününde 57kg da dövüşen Taner Baş Bronz Madalya kazandı. Son gün tatamiye çıkan diğer sporcularımız, 49 kiloda Ahmet Küskü, 61 kiloda Tolga Çalışkan ile bayanlar 37 kiloda Melek Polat ile +59 kiloda Dilara Arslan rakiplerine yenilerek elendiler. Şampiyonanın Son gününde Kore 2 Altın, Iran, Amerika ve Ukrayna 1 er altın madalya kazandılar

On the fourth and final day of the 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships, Korea clinched two gold medals, while Iran, the United States and Ukraine took one gold medal each at the T1 Arena of the Taekwondowon in Muju, Korea.

In the male -49kg final match, Korea's Gi-yeong Lee defeated Vietnam's Dang Quang Pham  21-5 for the gold medal with a 12-point gap victory at the end of the second round. In the same division, the bronze went to Ukraine's Artur Kulida and Spain's Jose Bellido Martin.

In the female -37kg final match, Iran's Mobina Nejad Katesari brushed aside a stiff challenge from the United States' Kiana Chai Chong to win the gold medal 5-4. Thailand's Supara Jarussangkulku and Germany's Supharada Kisskalt had to settle for the bronze medal each.

In the male -57kg final match, Korea's Chang-geun Kim came from behind to outpoint Iran's Erfan Moradi 9-8 for the gold medal. Turkey's Taner Bas and Mexico's Luis Osorio shared the bronze medal in the same weight category.

In the female +59kg final match, the United States' Melanie Diaz needed only two round to win the gold medal as she crushed her final-match opponent, Jordan's Aysheh Alsedah, 16-4 with a 12-point gap victory at the end of the second round. The bronze went to Egypt's Nada Elashkar and Russia's Kristina Adebaio.

In the male -61kg weight division, Ukraine's Vladyslav Yerko defeated Russia's Mikhail Sokolov for the gold medal. The bronze went to Kazakhstan's Yelaman Baltabayev and Thailand's Nuchit Rakyart in the same weight division.
